Cloudy for much of the day with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, especially in the south and west. Hill fog and mist likely at times. Some drier, brighter spells possible in the north later. Highs around 6–8°C.

A wet and unsettled day with periods of rain, occasionally heavy. Breezy at times, particularly along coasts and over higher ground. Temperatures close to average for early February.

More mixed conditions with longer drier spells developing, though scattered showers still likely, especially in western areas. Occasional brighter intervals. Breezy at times.

Similar to Saturday – a mix of cloud and sunshine with a few showers around. Feeling slightly fresher in any sunny spells. Temperatures remaining close to average.

M4 Motorway – Pontypridd to Abercynon 🔶 Night resurfacing works continue on the eastbound carriageway 8 pm–6 am nightly until Friday 20 February ⚠️ Expect overnight delays and signed diversions in the Cynon Valley 📍 Plan ahead if travelling early mornings

A55 North Wales (Ewloe to Dobshill) 🔶 Major maintenance works scheduled overnight at weekends (8 pm Fri → 6 am Mon) with full eastbound closures 📍 Diversions via A494 / A5117 / A41 – allow extra time for journeys

A487 West Wales (near Newport/Pembrokeshire) 🔶 Long-term essential works are affecting sections of the road near Newport, with local diversions in place as part of extended maintenance (ongoing)

A40 (Monmouthshire) 🔶 Ongoing traffic restrictions and partial closures remain in place due to multi-phase works on embankments and carriageway – expect reduced speeds and delays through the year (including this weekend)
