M4 — South Wales (Ongoing) Lane closures and slip road restrictions between J37 Pyle and J42 Earlswood continue until 1st April (8pm–6am nightly). Allow extra time on the M4 corridor overnight.
M4 — South Wales (New) The eastbound carriageway between J26 Malpas and J25A Grove Park is closed overnight until Friday 28th March (8pm–6am). Diversions in place.
M4 — South Wales (New) Exit slip road closed at J41 Pentyla/Baglan westbound until Thursday 27th March (8pm–6am). Entry slip road at J41 eastbound also closed Thursday 27th March. Diversions in place.
M4 — South Wales (New) Entry slip road at J43 Llandarcy eastbound closed until Thursday 27th March (8pm–6am). Diversions in place.
M4 — South Wales (New) Westbound carriageway between J47 Penllergaer and J48 Hendy closed overnight until Friday 28th March (8pm–6am) for resurfacing. Diversions in place.
M4 — West of Cardiff (Emergency) Westbound carriageway between J34 Miskin and J35 Pencoed closed for emergency works overnight Wednesday 26th–Thursday 27th March (8pm–12:30am). Diversions in place.
M4 — East of Cardiff (New) Eastbound exit slip at J24 Coldra closed overnight Thursday 26th–Friday 27th March (8pm–6am). Diversions in place.
A465 — South East Wales (New) Eastbound carriageway between Glanbaiden Roundabout and Abergavenny Hardwick Roundabout closed overnight until Tuesday 31st March (8pm–6am). Diversions in place — plan ahead if travelling the Heads of the Valleys route.
A465 — South East Wales (New) Westbound closure between Glanbaiden Roundabout and Abergavenny Hardwick Roundabout overnight Monday 30th–Tuesday 31st March (8pm–6am). Diversions in place.
A483 — Mid Wales (Ongoing) Road closed in both directions at Cilmeri until 3rd April (7pm–6am). A key Powys route — diversions in place.
A483 — North Wales (New) Southbound closure between J5 Mold and J4 Ruthin overnight Friday 27th–Saturday 28th March (8pm–6am). Northbound closure between J4 Ruthin and J5 Mold overnight Saturday 28th–Sunday 29th March, then between J3 Groesfoel and J4 Ruthin Sunday 29th–Tuesday 31st March. North Wales travellers plan ahead.
A40 — South East Wales (New) Northbound road closure between Raglan and Monmouth Dixton Roundabout overnight Friday 27th–Saturday 28th March (8pm–6am) for resurfacing. Diversions in place.
A55 — North Wales (New) Exit slip closed at J33 Northop eastbound until Thursday 27th March (7pm–6am). Also, exit slip closed at J19 Glan Conwy eastbound until Saturday 28th March (7pm–7am). North Wales travellers check before setting off.
A55 — North Wales (Ongoing) Speed restriction and advisory restrictions for motorcycles and caravans remain in place on the Britannia Bridge due to high winds — until further notice.
A470 — Mid Wales (Ongoing) Resurfacing works between Dolgellau and Llanelltyd continue until 31st March (7:30am–6pm). 10mph convoy with slow-moving vehicles and delays — plan ahead.
A487 — West Wales (Ongoing) Temporary traffic lights at Aberystwyth Commins Coch continue until 23rd June (9am–4pm). Long-term works — allow extra time.
A44 — Mid Wales (Ongoing) Temporary traffic lights in Aberystwyth continue until 16th April (9am–4pm). Factor in extra time if passing through.
RAIL DISRUPTION
Cardiff Central — Radyr (Late nights this week) Late night rail replacement road transport operating between Radyr and Cardiff Central via Fairwater. Several late Valley Lines services are terminating at Radyr rather than running into Cardiff Central. Check your specific departure time before travelling.
Cardiff Central — Ninian Park — Radyr (Sunday 29th March, until 1pm) No rail services and no rail replacement bus on this route until 13:00 on Sunday. Rail tickets are accepted on Cardiff Bus services 61, 62 and 63 as an alternative.
Cardiff Central — Llandaf — Radyr & Ninian Park — Radyr (Mon 30th March — Thu 2nd April, late evenings) Late evening disruption on both Radyr routes continuing into early April. Plan ahead for late-night travel.
Cardiff Central — Ystrad Mynach (Mon 30th March — Thu 2nd April, late evenings) Late evening services affected. Check before travelling.
West Wales — Milford Haven to Clarbeston Road (Mon 23rd — Thu 26th March, mornings) Buses replacing trains between 10:20 and 13:30 each morning. Check before travelling to west Wales.
Cardiff Central — Swansea (Sunday 31st March) Track renewal work means buses replace trains between Cardiff Central and Swansea on Sunday 31st March. GWR TfW services affected — plan ahead for travel across South Wales on this date.
Hereford — Newport — Cardiff (Sunday 29th March, late evening) Engineering works close the line between Hereford and Newport late on Sunday evening. The 20:30 Manchester Piccadilly to Cardiff Central terminates at Hereford with a replacement bus onwards. Relevant for anyone travelling from mid Wales or the Marches.
Cardiff Central — Newport — Severn Tunnel (Mon 23rd — Fri 27th March, late nights) Extended journey times between Severn Tunnel Junction and Newport due to overnight maintenance work. Allow extra time for late-night services on this corridor.
